Tons of record labels and music platforms are offering discounts during COVID-19 in order to support their artists.

Times are… weird, huh? Why not treat yourself to some new music offered by labels and platforms that will directly support musicians during COVID-19. There are tons of labels offering music at discounted prices right now, and giving the profits to the artists. We rounded up some that came across our feed this week, and will continue to do so in round-up of coronavirus-related music content every Monday for the foreseeable future.

Bandcamp

This Friday, March 20, from midnight to midnight, Bandcamp will waive their revenue share on all sales in order to give profits directly to musicians. So if you’ve been sleeping on some records, or have some Bandcamp “heartbreaks,” now’s the time!

Double Double Whammy

For the foreseeable future, Brooklyn-based Double Double Whammy will give all profits from their Bandcamp sales directly to artists. Singer-songwriter Mirah just recently signed to Double Double Whammy, had a baby last year, and was scheduled to go on tour with Waxahatchee in May, which has since been postponed. Other artists on Double Double Whammy we suggest buying Bandcamp downloads from include Hatchie, Yowler, Gemma, GABI, and Great Grandpa.

Get Better Records

Get Better Records, a “queer/trans-run independent label located in Philadelphia and Los Angeles run by Alex Lichtenauer (Control Top), Jenna Pup (The HIRS Collective), and Ally Einbinder (Potty Mouth)” has made everything in their web store 20% off with code GBR20. A few Get Better artists who recently cancelled tours due to COVID-19 include Control Top, Empty Country, and Bacchae.

Run For Cover

The Australian record label announced on Instagram that their entire digital catalog on Bandcamp is Pay What You Want with 100% of proceeds going directly to artists. Georgia Maq, singer/guitarist in Camp Cope, recently released a solo debut and had to cancel all international tours.

Merge Records

The Durham-based label announced 15% off all orders (excluding pre-orders) through the Merge store with code STAYHOME (US shipping is free). Artists that have had to cancel upcoming tours on Merge include:
